Updates - June 2009

Updates - June 2009
As per meeting, the AGM was at 6.50pm.
Fibre-optic cables
The fibre-optic cables in New Timothy House, linking the residential estates and office buildings is already old and spoilt because it was surfaced. Computers are either in Windows XP or Windows Vista, as the old network couldn't be because there are two networks (BT and Virgin Media). There are plans to have a new fibre-optic cable system which will be a new network, NTHNet, which will run throughout the housewide system.
Further details to be confirmed in the July AGM.
Security
The security matters are, some agencies have complained that there is no guard post, close monitoring of illegal parking, and taking serious actions of the traffic offences.
First, the incident was the visitor's car driving very fast at 50km/h and hit the kerb which is near the construction site. Although the car was badly hit at the front, the car was blocking and had to go one way.
There is no such guardhouse which was located near the dustbin. Construction is soon to be part of August AGM and details to be confirmed later.
For the CCTV cameras, contractors have placed for order of 2 additional signal boosters. Recording will be in the management office but additional CCTV cameras will be placed in some areas.
